Background
Savings Guide started in January 2007 after finding a lack of information for people wanting to learn techniques to save money. Since its start date, Savings Guide has become an industry leader in money saving tips, boasting strong editorial content and a large user community that actively helps each other discover simple ways to save money.
Savings Guide is based in Sydney, Australia, with contributors from all over the world.

AJ Wilson – Founder
AJ created Savings Guide while still studying at University as a means of sharing his ideas on how to save money with other students. Attending University full time while trying to juggle expenses such as rent, debt, saving and the general cost of living soon started to far outgrow the income that was coming in around study. As a result, the concept of not necessarily making more money, but becoming smarter with the limited money that was available kicked in and the concept of Savings Guide was born.
Completing University, Alex has gone on to work full time while maintaining this website as a way to help other Australians make the most of their money.
Holding a Bachelor of Communications (Information Management) from UTS and working towards a Masters of Business (Marketing) at UTS – Alex is putting 110% of his energy into turning Savings Guide into Australia’s number one money saving resource with the highest quality content.
Kayla Gamkrelidze – Content/Editorial Manager
Kayla joined the Savings Guide team to oversee the content production and editorial duties that have dramatically increased over the past few years. Bringing with her a wealth of knowledge from her background in Human Resources and Psychology, Kayla ensures that all content on the site is worthy of publishing, insightful and easy to understand for people looking to save money.
