Employers often now have a range of incentives used to help promote engagement, productivity and lower absenteeism. The problem is that most people are not actually aware of what is available or they are too lazy to take advantage of them but they could be saving you money. Most of these are probably restricted to the larger corporations.
If you company offers some kind of share plan you should be taking advantage of it whilst you are working there. For instance my old employer (one of the big 4 banks) have a share plan which offered discounted prices on shares which came from pre-tax dollars of your pay. Not only did it save me in tax it also meant I built up a significant stash of shares to start my portfolio. Think about the viability of the company and whether or not you can afford a small portion of your pay to go towards this.
Many companies now have an affiliation with certain private health insurance providers. This usually is one of the well-known brands and comes with a discount. Even a small saving per month on your premium will benefit you over the long run. If you worked for your employer for 5 years and you gained a discount of $10 per month, this is a saving of $600. You may find an ability to have savings for your whole family if they are all under one policy.
The big city buildings commonly now have a gym on premises. This may be free to use or come at a significantly smaller cost than joining an outside gym. Some of my colleagues were using the building gym at $10 per fortnight as compared to my $33 per fortnight fitness first membership. That would have been a saving of $598 across the year. This could make the gym more convenient by being able to use your lunch time or straight before and after work. The drawbacks are the facilities may not be as extensive
You may not be in a position to get a tool of trade car but there may be discounts provided on a selection of cars. Investigate what your options are. If you can utilise a tool of trade you definitely should but otherwise see if they have some affiliations. There will be a limited range of models, but if you are wanting to purchase a new vehicle this may save you some money.
Quite often now the larger companies also have deals with technology providers to give you corporate discounts on computers, phones, phone plans and internet. Do check whether the discounts are the same as a bargain you could grab in store.
If your company has a staff club it might be worth joining. This is usually run by other staff members and for a tiny fee you gain lots of discounts. Examples of savings include gift cards, movie tickets, perfumes, clothing, household items, gym memberships, public transport tickets and even holidays.
