This is a great article. I advocate finding money within your current budget to "pay yourself". If you made coffee at home rather than buying it at the local coffee shop, "pay yourself" that $4 straight in to your savings account.

The best way we know of to save money every day is to reduce the electric, water heating, home heating, etc. utility bills.

After we had an energy audit performed on our home in late 2007 we began collecting suggestions from hundreds of people across the U.S. on the different ways they use to reduce their home energy consumption.

http://dailyhomerenotips.com/energy-conservation/

To date we have collected in the above list more than 240 home energy conservation suggestions.

The intriguing thing to me is that of the 240+ suggestions, a full 100+ cost households absolutely nothing to do and a further 75+ cost next to nothing.....with the vast majority being easy and simple to do.

Reducing the consumption of electricity, home heating oil, natural gas, etc. consumed in the home directly and immediately reduces the home's utility bills month after month after month .... in after tax dollars.

And, that is in addition to being green by reducing the direct and indirect consumption of non-renewable resources as well as the generation of polluting emissions into the air we breathe.
