Thats great Anna!
I am sure you will make it with some hard work. The worst thing people tend to do is purchase their wedding on credit or loan (though sometimes this is better than nothing) but then they spend 10years paying it off, or consolidating into their mortgage. I suggest having a read over our Savings Guide article on ways to cut some money on your wedding without losing the quality. Here is the link; How to Save Money on your Wedding - Saving Money on a Wedding Do you have any ideas on how you are going to cut some of the costs? |

Hi Anna,
It is a pleasant surprise to hear that there are still some couples around who set realistic Wedding budgets. $8500 sounds ideal. Good luck with this Anna. Let us know how you go !!

I would stay as far away as possible from having any kind of wedding gift for the attendees.
You know how you go to weddings and they give you a little flower pot or ornamental item to take home? Lots of money gets wasted on these!
