My plan is to save $5 a day for the year while trying to find things around the house I no longer need that I can sell on eBay. If I save $5 a day for the rest of the year, I will have around $1500 + what ever other money I can save from my eBay sales. This should be enough for a trip down to Port Stephens or Noosa

Sounds good!
You've got to have some soul-food in life huh !! I've also been thinking of ways to generate a few extra dollars, and apart from eBay, I;ve decided to (for the first time in my life) have a Lawn Sale. We have millions of plants which I can get cuttings from, so I decided to make a few of those to sell (as they cost me nothing). And I am also going to sell some Herbs (as it is the season for it where I live). Again something which costs me nothing, as I have the seeds, the soil and plenty of time to prepare. So I figure if I can make 100% profit on a few things - why not ??

I like the idea of a lawn sale.
By that do you mean similar to a garage sale? Or is it just plants and garden related? You should drop that info into the following section for everyone! Ways to earn money at home - Saving Money Community Australia |

I tend to save a lot of money for 'rainy day funds' or just general good measure, but this holiday will mean a lot to me!
Just the chance to get away and stop always saving towards something that isn't as fun as a holiday will be great ![]() Looking at Stayz.com.au now for places to rent in Noosa, much cheaper than hotels! |
