Default A holiday at the end of the year....

Well I don't really have anything specific in mind. We just live and budget the money in the bank slowly rises. We just live well, really. Not expensive but we don't really want for anything. We have a rental property as well as our own home that were paying off. My 3rd child's off in four weeks on her first overseas holiday with her school, they're off on an arts tour. Not that we mind, but that cost a couple of thousand, the experience will be good for her.

Oh and the two children (although they pay as adults on the plane) and I are off to Bali for a holiday in late Sept/early Nov. Not yet booked but it's a definite. Were also going with my older daughter and her two children.
So I guess a bit of this years savings will go to that holiday.
Unfortunately Hubby has to stay home to look after the farm. We have very expensive and large pets and lots of them. He doesn't mind as he loves farming. Well find some nice gifts for him, I'm sure.

I find that we need to get the balance right. There's not point in having squillions in the bank, working your fingers to the bone and not having the time to enjoy life. You know, we never know just what around the corner.
That doesn't I don't believe in planning for the future either, I do have shares and are part of a salary sacrifice plan buying more.
I just make sure we enjoy life as well. My husband often says Money's not everything. Although he's the biggest electricity policeman I know, he's forever telling one of us to turn a light or teli off.
But that's another story for another day.
Cheers Carole
