Default 6 Month Greenslip and Car Registration

I recently read an article on savingsguide.com.au about 6 month CTP greenslips and car rego.

Just wanted to know if anyone has done this yet? I am not sure whether the costs will be exactly half, or it will be a little more expensive?

I want to sell my car in the coming months and the rego and CTP are due, so I figured it would save a bit of money by only doing a 6month rego.

If you have done this I would love to hear from you?

Haven't done this but would be keen to hear any stories also!

Cheers,

I haven't done it for a green slip but I have done comprehensive once for 6 months because my rego was due at christmas. I did pay more for the 6 months but at least I don't have to sweat insurance at christmas time which is the only advantage I can see from a saving money perspective because it means I did'tt have to put christmas on the credit card.
