You Must See This – $99 Million Dollar ATM Receipt Found

Sometimes the internet brings up some truly interesting little finds. I was reading a few of my daily finance blogs the other day and stumbled across an amazing find.

In the US – someone found an ATM receipt left in the machine, who cares right? Well this particular ATM receipt is particularly different in that the account balance is truly amazing.

It appears somewhere out there, a person that looks just like you and me is walking around with a bank account balance of $99 million.

Don’t believe me? Proof is in the pudding

Below is a picture of the receipt found, showing a balance of $99,864,731.94 – that is one fierce account balance!

The interesting thing about this is that the person has the money sitting in an everyday banking account, likely earning very little interest. I haven’t done the math, though a high interest savings account with $99 million in it at a rate of 5% would not be a small amount. Imagine the earnings you could make?

The receipt was found in the East Hamptons, a known stomping ground for some of the worlds elite. The person withdraws $400 and receives a $2.75 ATM charge (tisk tisk, should have used your own banks ATM my friend!) – just shows that out there somewhere, someone is living rather comfortably.

What on earth would you do with $99 million dollars? I would probably be a bit more secure with leaving my receipts around the place that’s for sure.
